Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and dedicated QC Chemist to join a small team in Nottingham. As a QC Chemist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and compliance of products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct sample analysis and generate accurate reports.
• Collaborate with internal and external customers to address inquiries and provide support.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper calibration.
• Manage laboratory stock levels and reagents.
• Learn and implement new analytical techniques and methods.
• Train new staff on standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Participate in quality assurance initiatives, including BAPS, Aquacheck, and internal proficiency testing.
• Assist with investigations and non-conformances.
• Adhere to ISO 17025 standards and maintain UKAS accreditation.
• Maintain a clean and organised laboratory environment.
• Support other departments as needed.
• Prioritise safety and comply with all safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Experience in a laboratory setting.
• Knowledge of quality control procedures and regulations
• Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organisational and time management skills
