Implementation Lead (Background Screening)
Contract: Temporary - 6 months
Location: Remote (Worker must be based in UK)
Rate: (INSIDE IR35)
- circa. £500-900 per day (Umbrella)
We are seeking an experienced Implementation Lead, on behalf of a prominent medical technology company, to drive the rollout of a global background screening programme across multiple countries and stakeholder groups. This is a highly collaborative role focused on ensuring operational readiness, stakeholder alignment, process excellence, and successful go-live delivery. Working across HR, Talent Acquisition, Legal, Compliance, Technology teams and external partners, you will play a key role in delivering a seamless implementation and transition into business-as-usual operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end implementation and rollout of a global background screening process across multiple countries.
- Define, document and maintain operating processes, including workflows, responsibilities, decision points and exception handling.
- Facilitate implementation workshops and manage the handover of business requirements to technology and vendor teams.
- Collaborate with HR, Talent Acquisition, Legal, Compliance and technology stakeholders to address risks, dependencies and process gaps.
- Support go-live activities, issue resolution, readiness tracking and post-launch stabilisation.
- Partner with change and communications teams to ensure stakeholder readiness, training and adoption.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience leading the implementation of global background screening or similar compliance-focused programmes.
- Strong process design and documentation skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into practical operating models.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, working effectively across global, regional and local teams.
- Experience managing go-live activities, issue resolution, risk management and operational readiness.
- Ability to work with external vendors, technology teams and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.
- Strong communication skills, with a practical and delivery-focused approach in fast-paced environments.
Additional Information
- Remote-based role with global stakeholder engagement.
- Experience in background screening, HR operations, people programmes or compliance-related implementations is highly desirable.
- Flexibility to collaborate across international time zones when required.
